Finelite Expands the Linear Lighting Family with HP-1 Narrow Profile
(Union City, CA) January 27, 2026 — Finelite has introduced HP-1, a narrow profile linear LED luminaire developed to support modern architectural design trends that favor reduced visual footprint. Featuring a narrow aperture and integral driver, HP-1 delivers comparable performance, flexibility, and system approach found across the company's linear lineup, now in compact form factor.
Architects and lighting designers are increasingly challenged by tighter ceiling conditions and minimal detailing. HP-1 addresses these constraints by maintaining full system functionality while requiring less space. Despite its size, the luminaire supports tailored lengths to 1/16", and continuous runs, making it suitable for both simple and complex layouts.
Narrow profile lighting often increases the risk of glare, particularly in task-oriented environments. HP-1 incorporates glare mitigation strategies through micro louver and low-glare diffuser options to help maintain visual comfort across a wide range of applications.
HP-1 supports direct and indirect/direct lighting distributions in pendant mounting. Tailored lengths down to 1/16 inch and a streamlined joining method for continuous runs allows for precise alignment with architectural elements.
HP-1 is Buy American Act compliant, enrolled in the ILFI Declare 2.0 Program with third-party verification, and backed by a 10-year performance-based warranty. HP-1 simplifies specification while expanding design flexibility. Small but powerful, HP-1 proves that reduced size does not require reduced expectations.
"With HP‑1, the team focused on delivering high performance without complexity. The integral driver, optimized optics, and slim form factor come together to provide outstanding efficacy and the reliability Finelite is known for." — (David Gentry, Senior Product Manager)
