ICLS – Components

Each system is laid out to meet specific design guidelines. A basic system like the one in the illustration installs in under 9 hours.

Patented ICLS technology makes installation easy and risk-free for the contractor and maintenance team. The system includes plug-and-play wiring to the controls, occupancy sensors, a teacher control center and daylight controls.

Two Scene Luminaire

The multi-scene luminaire can be mounted On-Grid™ and features plug-together wiring between fixture sections. For best results, position the units as specified, 14 to 15 feet apart, perpendicular to the main teaching wall.

Whiteboard Luminaire

The whiteboard luminaire can be mounted On-Grid and features adjustable mounting points. Ideal positioning of the luminaire is parallel to the main teaching wall, centered on the whiteboard, with the unit set back 30 inches from the wall.

Teacher Control Center with Quiet Time

The Teacher Control Center (TCC) with unique Quiet Time switch is installed on the teaching wall next to the whiteboard. The low-voltage TCC reduces labor costs — shipped fully assembled, it requires only one connection via plug-and-play cable. Every TCC comes with a laser-engraved faceplate for long-lasting durability.

Quiet Time Occupancy Sensor

This ceiling-mounted occupancy sensor uses passive infrared and ultrasonic technologies to detect occupancy. Connections to the unit are via low-voltage, plug-and-play wiring.

Master Switch Bank

Located by each door, the main on/off switch is wired in the same manner as the other controls. Line voltage comes from the Control Pack/Row Pack. Finelite-supplied parts:

• Assembled switches

• Labeled faceplate

Control Pack/Row Pack

The Control Pack/Row Pack takes line voltage input from the building power. It carries power to and communicates with the ICLS system components. This unit is located generally for easy servicing, above the ceiling near the Main Switch Bank.

Optional Daylight Harvesting

To maximizing energy efficiency, ICLS accommodates three modes of daylight harvesting. This lets you easily integrate automatic or manual daylight switching, or automatic daylight dimming.
