2011 Leadership Award from StopWaste.Org
Finelite has progressively reduced waste from 110 tons generated in 2005 to only 18 tons per year now, an 84% reduction. Local public agency StopWaste.Org honored the achievement with the 2011 StopWaste Partnership Leadership Award.

The Personal Lighting System (PLS) won two of four possible 2007 Lighting for Tomorrow awards in the Solid-state Lighting category.
Organized by the American Lighting Association, the U.S. Department of Energy (represented by Pacific Northwest Laboratory) and the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, "Lighting for Tomorrow" was launched in 2002 to recognize excellence in design of energy-efficient lighting fixtures.

2007 Flex Your Power Award
Finelite and the California Lighting Technology Center won the Innovative Products and Services Award from Flex Your Power for The Personal Lighting System (PLS). Flex Your Power is California's statewide energy efficiency marketing and outreach campaign. Initiated in 2001, Flex Your Power is a partnership of California's utilities, residents, businesses, institutions, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations working to save energy. Their annual award presentations recognize long-standing and strong energy conservation and efficiency programs.
